111, is the number of the last piano sonata written by Beethoven. But it is also the number of years the most highly reputed classical music label in the world, Deutsche Grammophon, has been in existence. DG is an institution, a monument to music in all its richness and universality, which in 2010 celebrates 111 years of work and of passion devoted to making accessible a vast catalogue that brings together the most famous conductors, composers and performers: from Herbert von Karajan to Gustavo Dudamel, from Maria João Pires to Alice Sara Ott, from Plácido Domingo to Anna Netrebko.
