Approach and Performance
Each of the group’s business units has implemented a sustainable development process in line with the issues put forward by the group. One of its essential characteristics is employee involvement. Accordingly, the group promotes initiatives that encourage commitment to citizenship action from its employees.
- The CSR program at Activision Blizzard
Activision Blizzard has implemented a program of corporate social responsibility entitled "Changing the Way the World Plays." This program involves company employees and also contributes to attracting new talents. Activision Blizzard feels that the company should contribute to improving community life where it does business (community solidarity, partnerships, and education). Among the initiatives supported by this program are the recruitment and training of veterans returning to civilian life, support for the Ultimate College Bowl voter registration program before the recent American presidential election, financial sponsorship for the Tony Hawk Foundation, which contributes to creating sports facilities in disadvantaged areas, and a partnership with the Library Foundation of Los Angeles, whose aim is to make libraries social and cultural sharing venues.
- Citizenship involvment programs at SFR
Commitment to citizen action by its employees is a key area of the sustainable development process put in place by SFR. The company has developed a full-fledged citizenship program in order to enable its employees to get involved in activities outside the workplace , which SFR feels is a source of enrichment both for its employees and for the company. Four measures are in place:- tutoring (via programs like [Cercle Passeport Telecomhttp://www.passeport-telecoms.com/cpt/lecercle.aspx] (fr), Haut les filles, la Légion d’honneur, Télémaque, and ARPEJE’H),
- solidarity leave (international humanitarian development-aid missions with Planète Urgence or the French Association of Volunteers of Progress (AFVP), financed by SFR),
- employee-citizen status (an in-company agreement that allows employees to devote time to an association while continuing to be paid by the company),
- and the Fonds De Soutien Citoyen (which allows employees to sponsor social and/or cultural projects via financing by the SFR Foundation).
