My SFR: an innovative Intranet, a new tool for Human Resources management
Attentiveness to employees’ expectations is a key aspect of the Human Resources policies put in place by the group’s business units. The tool for internal communication developed in 2008 by SFR strengthens that attentiveness to employees and works in favour of their employability.
This intranet, a particularly innovative one, is a kind of informative and collaborative internal social network. The company’s 10,000 employees can fill in their career and personal profiles on the intranet as well as state their aspirations regarding future career development in an area visible only by Human Resources. Thus, each employee’s desires are precisely known – and the Human Resources department is committed to taking them into account during its annual "personnel review." This evolution of the basic principle of the intranet constitutes a new and remarkable tool for the management team. By allowing employees to express themselves concerning their career perspectives in a milieu other than the annual assessment interview, MySFR enables their expectations to be anticipated and better met.
The new intranet won five prizes during the course of 2008 – apart from the two internal prizes awarded by SFR ("Podium" and "Super podium"), MySFR won the silver "Top Com" award at Top Com Corporate Business (‘multimedia’ section, ‘intranet site’ category), as well as two awards at the Grand prix des Stratégies de la communication 2008 (the first in the ‘social policies’ category and the second a special jury prize in the ‘HR advertising campaign’ category): "With MySFR, exchange, emulation and transversality were all emphasized. It enabled a show of transparency during the SFR-Neuf Cegetel merger. (…) MySFR has succeeded in marking an evolution in internal practices, accompanying and accelerating cultural change, and promoting new reflexes."
